Bigeye tuna

Bigeye tuna : Pound for pound, a 100 pound big eye, if tied tail to tail with a 100 pound yellowfin, will drown that yellowfin ten times over before the yellowfin even knows what’s happening. The meat on a bigeye is fantastic, usually selling for almost double, per pound, than yellowfin at market. While they are found all over the gulf, 12 months out of the year, there are certain areas and water depths that hold them more consistently; and when you find them, they are extremely aggressive and multiple hookups are the norm, not the exception.
